Please explain to me why so many people seem to hate Dids

I don't hate him. I rarely have anything to do with the guy or his forum, and we've never had a run in. He just seems annoying. Read the stickies in his forum for his kind of grating attitude and self-important demeanour. Compare with (say) Mike Haven's attitude, who deals with a similar class of posters with a lot more grace. It's pretty obvious why many people don't like Dids.
