GAH, I sucked at life before I was even born

First of all you young whelp....I'm not old. My Mom is old.

And we make comments like that because it illustrates just how young and wet behind the ears you puppies are. You guys (and I'm grouping you in with all the 18-23 posters) remind me of myself and my friends at the same age, and my daughter and her friends now. It will never change. You reach that age and the world belongs to you. Everything is possible and the future is limitless. I envy you that actually.

People of my generation watch you with a combination of amusement, envy and sometimes anger or frustration. THe first thing I think of is just how young you are and it does make me think of all the things I have that I have had since before you were born, and shoes (only 1 pair too) make the point very well.

I don't want to come across as a bitter old guy either. To be perfectly honest I was very impressed with most of the young guys I met in Atlantis. It would be pretty easy for young kids with way more money than they should have at that stage of lifeto be complete jerks, and by and largemost of the people I ran into (and I include you Adam) were very nice young men.

I look forward to seeing you(and Gobbo, another nice one, although I don't get the bamboo reference) again in Monte Carlo.I will not be bringing my 1972 shoes however.
