[/ QUOTE ] From my experience in the past with staying at casinos at the poker rate, you get the poker rate if you can show them a certain amount of play or you play in a qualifying tournament. It's determined at checkout whether you qualify, but you should book letting them know you would like a room at the poker rate.

[/ QUOTE ] I called the "poker hotline" and told the person who answered that I was planning on playing in at least one March Madness tournament, and that I was interested in reserving a room at the poker rate. He connected me to the hotel people. A woman answered, and I told her that I wanted the poker rate; she said that the poker room person had told her that, as well. From there I gave my name, credit card # for confirmation (this was optional), and specified that I wanted a room in the tower. Seemed pretty easy to me; took all of 7 or 8 minutes at most.

From what I've been told, the rest of the place is a bit of a dump, so we decided to get the nicer rooms. Anyone who can still get a room in The Lodge, I recommend that you do so.
