[ QUOTE ] With so many dead teams how about we start over with a keeper auction league? [/ QUOTE ] if you can find reliable auction draft software, I am sooooo down for one. [/ QUOTE ] what do you guys think of this site/software? gameday also, the way to lower dormancy is probably to increse the cost of entrance fee/prize pool....no? |

Disclaimer: I am slightly biased because I really like my team and the keepers I would have.
UCF: We should wait to see how many teams are dead before scrapping the league altogether. Clearly there has been enough interest to do multiple leagues as evidenced by your fantasy baseball thread a month ago. bugstud: One possible idea is to pool all the players on the dead teams together and have replacement managers draft out of that player pool for the first five rounds. Caldarooni: Did you just say you don't want to play this year because your team is bad, but that you would want to do a different keeper league? sublime: I would be all for a higher cost of entrance, etc. if we can get good managers who will stay in the league, even if their team isn't as good as they imagined. What is the point of a keeper league if you can drop out cause your team sucks? |

About a month into last season Yahoo dropped my account. I couldn't access my team. It doesn't make a lot of sense for me to continue to invest in a team that I hadn't touched almost all season in a league where most would not be back. It would be a different story if I was the only team holding out.
However, I love fantasy baseball and would like to continue to play. I am also in favor of a higher buyin. -Calda |

Id be down, the buy in doesn't need to be huge, just have it carry over for future years. IE, 75 percent of the buy in is for this year, 25 percent for next year. Then next year you do the same thing. If people leave they lose their money unless they get someone to fill in for them and pay them.
