[/ QUOTE ] Hi Karpenan, That was my obvious first reaction as well…change the names back. I have been assured that isn’t the problem this time, but it may get changed back just to be safe. In the first release where the names were changed the problem was very specific; the HHs were being written for multiple tables to the same file, thus causing a delay when someone was playing multiple tables. This delay caused the buttons to not appear in the timeframe that they should (or not at all). The result was that many players couldn’t play the Speed Sit&Go’s, and the number of them played dropped drastically. There was a flood of complaints that came into CS. This time there are few complaints, primarily just in this thread, and the numbers have actually increased. That means very few people are experiencing this. |

On another topic, have you in Party considered to make just one option for STTs instead of speeds and regulars? The change was made about a year ago but since then the volume has dropped (thanks to the US laws) and by euro daytime it's hard to get the STTs going. It would be nice if you'd bring back the old structure so the tables would fill up faster.
That's the case if you don't want to mix up different structures. |

[/ QUOTE ] Hehe, if you think Party splitting into reg and speed was bad then you should check out Pacific!!! I think they just got a drunken chimp to decide on their SNG formats. They have like 10 randomly selected formats for each buy-in level where they permute everything from the prize structure to the number of players playing, but no logical progression from one buy-in level to another. So it's like: "OK I want to play turbos, whats my options?" - I can play some $8.80 60/30/10 payout 10-man SNGs and then move onto the $11 10-man 60/30/10, then I can progress onto some $22 3-man winner takes all, then some $33 6-man 75/25, then after that nothing runs because everybody is just sat on their own on some random format hoping some others might join one day... It's the biggest joke I've ever seen... Then you might ask: "How about some regulars then?" - Well, Pacific decided they were going to increase the chips from 800 to 1200 without changing anything else about the structure other than allowing a 20 second timer. The net result is the SNGs run so slow that half way into one you really wish you never bothered joining in the first place and want to poke your own eyes out just to keep yourself awake... Great fun... Juk |

God I'd love to be the guy who gets to sack 25 programmers when they find out it was the names again after all.

1) Why would you even want to remove the names in the first place? Removing the names destroys my use of PAHud as well. While I understand that you are not responsible for third party software, I cannot imagine any benefit to anyone of removing SNG table names.
2) I have posted a screenshot above which clearly shows buttons not appearing. I don't think there is any doubt that it is occurring. 3) As you may be aware, I am simply no longer playing speed SNGs at PartyPoker as long as the two problems of SNG names and disappearing buttons is not fixed. 4) As a result, instead of paying my rake to PP, I pay it to PokerStars. While I respect that this may not be an important issue to you and that co-incidentally* SNG traffic may have increased, your organisation's income would increase if you fixed this problem. 5) There appears to be no benefit to anyone as a result of removing SNG table names. *I can't imagine any people being drawn to play SNGs because of the table name changes and disappearing buttons |

THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I fugured I'd give PP one more try and here we go:
Today I mixed some Speeds and Regulars and look what happened. The regulars get "infected" too as you can see from the picture. I WOULD RELLY LIKE TO PUSH THAT 99 and many other hands. The buttons disappeared in ~10 minute unterwalls. And after all the speeds had finished (OUT OF THE MONEY, THANKS TO MISSING BUTTONS) buttons did not disapper from the Regulars. Party owes me money. Thats the way I see it. Do others? And one weird thing to add: the x buttons are missing from the upper right corners of the tables.
