most likely, they have some liquidity problems. if they do have the money in a seperate trust account as they claim in their financial report,then i believe we eventually will get our money back. the only scenario i can imagine in which we wont get our money is that some Neteller guy transferred that money to some trading account,bought some derivatives and suffered huge loss, similar to what happened to Baring bank in the middle 90's. but this has to involve some massive accounting fraud and unlike Baring bank, Neteller probably doesn't have a derivarive trading desk. so this scenario is not very likely.
after all, Neteller is not a rogue party affiliate who operates a one-man shop and would take people's money when the opportunities arise even though their recent behavior was pretty bad. but i dont think they built a billion-dollar public company with a purpose to intentionally rip people off. let's all have some faith in the whole capitalist system and wait for a couple weeks.

what is the biggest reason why you guys didn't put the money on to the poker sites. Was it to late when you got the news, or did you feel like it was safer on neteller?

I have a friend in Barbados who is willing to open a NT account and I would transfer my balance to him, and then he hopefully could transfer into his bank or whatever, and then cut me a check...possible? anyone tried it?

obv it was too late.
But come one, everybody would think Neteller was much more safer than any poker sites before this whole mess happening.
They are a billion-dollar public company monitored by FSA for god's sake.

I am out $13. I had a Neteller Debit card and did the ATM trip before Neteller screwed us.

I am now looking into other ways to make money online.
