So, Im sitting with around 8k chips, 38 players left (18 get paid), average around 7k. Blinds 100/200. CO is loose.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (8 handed) internettexasholdem.com UTG (t18254) UTG+1 (t5020) MP1 (t3037) MP2 (t3300) CO (t8173) Button (t2225) Hero (t8034) BB (t15955) Preflop: Hero is SB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 4 folds, CO raises to t800, 1 fold What's my play? I think it's a good time to reraise CO and try to get the 1.1k pot. |

I wouldn't be reraising here unless I had seen him fold in this situation before and still probably wouldn't do it with A2. What will you do if you raise to 3000 and he goes all in or calls?
IMO You still have time to find better spots. |

You can not re-raise here without a read on CO.

It might also help to have a read on the BB who has you almost 2 to 1 on chips.

Maybe he means if the bb capable of a re-resteal or not willing to lay down medium-high strength type hands here (like AJ perhaps)? I find both v. unlikely.
Anyway I fold unless the co has been stealing aggressively and has shown he can slow down if he meets any resistance. |

I would want to know if BB is a blind protector, calling station, or just loose as well.
I guess I might be thinking to far ahead for a 4/180 but my point is this. If your going to raise here because you think CO is loose and might be light then your raise needs to be big enough to run CO and BB out. 2000 is not going to do it so maybe 3000+ is better. If CO or BB come along you really close to being committed now with A,2. This leads me to a question. Is our stack size alittle awkward for this move? Or if we decide to make this move is it all in or fold? |

I'm okay with the fold here.

Fooolldd... You still have the BB left to act behind you, both the original bettor and the BB have you covered, and you've got a mediocre-at-best hand without a read. You have plenty of time for better cards, or even just waiting for better reads to pick your plays.

Instafold.
Not a very hard fold either. |
