Grrrrr. That guy was friendly but bad at HU PLO8. (No offense, Nadette, if you're reading this.) Eh, can't win 'em all.

I'm watching two of your SNG now. How far from the $1K are you now?

Nate can we get a rough idea of how many hours or hands you played in the past week?

Besides posting here have you documented this at all, I think it would be a good lesson in bankroll building for people with limited $'s, obviously over a much longer time but doing similiar things.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's been roughly 60 hours so far. Mostly 8-tabling except when I was grinding HU matches.

Wow... that's a pretty impressive hourly at these stakes. (Nate's a lucksack)

I obviously had to see what this was all about.
I can't see how you make that assumption based on 1 HU game though..I do admit I wasn't playing my A-game, due to all the commotion at the table. (I did get the chips in the middle with the favorite hand 54/46)
Anyway, I wish you goodluck with your prop bet

Nadette --

Again, you were really friendly and basically competent at the game. I was just making the point that I think I was the favorite there to end this week of grinding and score the victory.

Thanks very much for the good wishes.

Nate,

This is awesome in many different ways. I find it intruiging that someone with your knowledge in education in math somewhat offsets the sterotypical "degenerate prop bet" into a goal and accomplishing it. It isn't only that you accomplished this feat (well, are going to accomplish) but moreso how you handled yourself during it in not tilting and staying focused (which is especially tough early at the micro stakes). Great job dude!

Randal --

Thanks.

But I'm very much not a lock here. Downswings happen. Indeed, I'm running pretty bad at the moment.

what are you playing to try and close it out?

Given the situation you were in I believe I would have tried 25NL to lock it up. however I generally play NL as I am still in learning mode for other games.
