I got my card within a week of requesting it. But I don't think there was a mad rush to get them a year ago.

There's no way in hell anybody is getting a card within a week, if at all right now.

I got mine over a year ago. Actually I got two.

I requested the first one, then a month later I called Neteller to see what was up since nothing had arrived.

Neteller CS couldn't understand it since they mail them out so "promptly". The CS canceled my first card and processed mailing out another one.

About 2 days later (a month after the original request), the card arrived having been mailed about 3 days previous. Of course, it would not work since it had been canceled.

So I waited another month for the second card. When it hadn't arrived I called Neteller to see when they were actually going to mail it. Neteller CS swore up and down they were mailed within 48 hours of original request. He offered to cancel and remail it again, I declined. Neteller CS suggested that it was the postal service being slow, I said I knew mail was slow but it doesn't take a month to deliver in the US and hung up.

Second card arrived about two days later, envelope was postmarked about 3 days previous.

Your mileage may vary, this was when there wasn't a mad rush with Neteller and pending legislation.

FWIW, I requested a neteller ATM card as soon as I as I began hearing rumors of problems with EFT's. A day+ later I received a email telling me my request for a card was DECLINED. No explanation was given. I suspect those of us who don't already have cards won't be getting them at this point.

BRAG: I found my Neteller debit card after an hour of searching throughout my house.

BEAT: Blew the dust off of it only to see it expired in 11/06.

VARIANCE: I called and asked for a new one. Who knows when it will arrive.

I requested it 2 days ago and they said it would be express though cause I'm VIP. We'll see how it goes.

I never applied for a Neteller card previously because I rarely keep any money in Neteller. Today, when all my cashout transactions were (and still are) reading as "pending," I decided I had nothing to lose by requesting one. I was approved. Whether I'll get it anytime soon or be able to cancel the pending withdrawals, I don't know.
