Election! - The Game Thread

***Game Rules***


Each day will start between 9-10am and run until 10pm, or when everyone has voted, whichever comes first. The top 3 vote

recipients each day will choose the person to be elected (lynched) that evening. You may only vote ONCE per day. Once you

vote, it is in the ballot box and thus cannot be changed. Please vote by saying vote player [name]. If you would like,

you may 'support' as many candidates as you'd like during the day by saying i support player [name]. I will keep a

support meter going along with the locked-in votes count (countif) each day.

The first two days, everybody is eligible to receive votes and be voted onto the electorate. However, anybody that does not

receive at least one vote from someone other than themselves by the end of the second day will be deemed not sound enough to

make such an important decision and will thus be ineligible to receive votes the rest of the game (keep reading for conditions

that can change this).

Moreover, anybody not actually voted onto the electorate by the end of day 4 will also be determined to be unfit and thus

ineligible to receive votes the remainder of the game.

However, when any eligible player dies n4 or later, they may choose to pass their legacy to a player still in the game. If they

do so, then that player will become eligible for the remainder of the game.

I will post a list of eligible players each morning starting d3.

When the village dwindles down to a handful of players, we will switch to only voting in the top vote getter to make the

decision instead of a trio of electorates. This will happen when the village has 10 or less players.

Each night at 10pm, JaredL will post a preliminary vote count based on the public votes in the thread. Players who can alter

the votes (vote buyers, bakers, dictator) have until 10:10 to do so by pming JaredL. Jared will then post a list of the 3

players who are on the electorate, in order from most votes to least votes. If there is a tie, he will rand() to determine this

ordering. The top player is the head electorate and will have the power to break a tie if all 3 vote for different players to

elect (lynch). These 3 should post who they wish to elect in the thread by 10:30.

NOTE: Electorates are not bound to any 'platform' they ran on or 'promises' they made in the thread during the day. They may choose to elect whomever they decide once they are on the council. They should do so by saying elect player [name] in the thread by 10:30pm after their name is posted by Jared. The three of them may post in the thread to discuss whom to elect, but once they make their elect post, they may not change that decision.
