You may want to reread teh section of Neteller's terms and conditions that spell out the Neteller Card. For Americans, they use a US bank for the card transactions. As soon as you move money from your Neteller account to the card is shows up on the books of a US bank with your name and SSN attached to it. [/ QUOTE ] LOL, my name isn't even on my neteller card. |

[/ QUOTE ] No one's name is ON their card. However, your name is linked to the number on your card. When you move money from your Neteller account to YOUR Netellercard, the money you "put" on the card actually goes to a US bank and is held there IN YOUR NAME until you take it "off" the card by either using an ATM to get cash, make a purchase, or move it back into your Neteller account. |

As I've explained earlier in this thread, I had no interest in censoring anything except a possible troll post of an unsubstantiated rumour. These happen often in the Zoo - it's part of the reason this is called the Zoo - and waste everyone's time. Luckily, I caught yours almost immediately, and, from memory, there had only been six views. I knew that if there was any truth in the rumour, someone with more nouse than you would very soon open a thread with a link. No harm would be done with the quick deletion; but possible good if your post was simply intended to disrupt. If your first post had opened with "See enclosed link to arrests", then your thread would have developed like this one. Instead you chose to open with "Is the rumour of Neteller arrests true?", period, instead of doing a simple Google-search and providing us with a link. [/ QUOTE ] FWIW, Mike, I think you did the right thing by deleting fleece's original post. |

That doesn't make any sense, I'm not cashing it out at a Neteller bank. I'm cashing it with private atm machines.

Owing to your continued emotive tone with the seeming intention of trying to whip up a hysteria, plus your continued personal abuse of me while I'm trying to do the best (voluntary) job of moderation that I can under the current difficult circumstances of regular and ongoing site outages and hangs, I have given you a short time-out to cool down. Please feel free to complain to an Administrator, if you wish, but you should note that if you post in the open forums and disclose that you are posting as the temp-banned persona to get round what you think is an unjustified temp-ban by a power-mad moderator, you will be perma-banned by me, any other moderator, or an Administrator. [/ QUOTE ] Whoa that was a bit harsh wasn't it? The fella just got a bit over excited. |

The fact that Neteller is a Member of the FSA is what makes having your money with them so safe. There is zero chance of a loss unless there was some massive internal fraud going on, (the prevention of which is one of the main reasons for the existence of the FSA), that had nothing to do with and was coincidental to the current situation. On the other hand, there is zero protection if you have your money with an offshore internet poker site. The site may not go bust in the next day or two, but if they felt they had a reason to hold your money, they would, and you would have no way on Earth to get it back. IMO. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah Mike, i realise that point, but at the end of the day if something does happen they could easily have to audit all the accounts, which means freezing all transactions with the accounts. Id rather have cash stuck on pokerstars, which i dont see going anywhere, rather than frozen on neteller. By the end of the day we will know more, thats for sure. |

I'm afraid I have to admit that I saw red and reacted to his irritating and uncalled for abuse. I've reduced his temp-ban from 45 days to only one day. If anyone thinks this is still too long, please tell me if you want to read some more of his [censored] today. |

Paranoia doesn't do anyone any good, particularly when there is news that is legitimately bad. |

And his account should be fully enabled, and his voice not censored. If the OP, chooses at that time not to heed your warning, the OP is at least fully aware of the consequences. _1 |
