now...we obviously know that he wins the hand, and i'm steaming pretty hardcore. i'm bitching and moaning. i think the only thing i said to the guy was, "you know, you can fold that there, you just doubled up." anyway, i'm feeling sorry for myself, and i'm down to a little over 20k. back to shortstack mode while we have about 21 people left. after busting 2 out of the money on thursday night, i'm really unhappy about the situation.

so i pull out a couple of bills at the $10 bj table. i play a few hands, winning some, losing some. the dealer is treating me pretty well, and i mix up my bets a little b/c i'm a superstitious bitch of the casino industry.

the dealer goes on a heater pulling 5-card 20's and 21's, so i do the obvious thing, and start to bet more. i bet 25, lose, 50, lose, 75 lose. c'mon!!! i guess i could just leave with my last 30 bones still high on my victory at CP. i think i'll pass, i own you casinos.

i pull a hundo out of my front pocket, and place it neatly under my last 30 on the betting circle.

first card, face, ok, i like how this is going. second card 4....damnit.

oh wait, the dealer is showing a 3. i stay....bust one time for me baby!! one time!!!

she turns over.....damnit small card...i hate life...

oh wait, that's a 3, that's only 16....c'mon!!! big card, big card!!!

bam, a face, and the dealer busts...ship the 130 please.

i put the hundo back in my pocket, and start to go on a tear.

as this is happening, a foreign guy's friend(also foreign) sits down at the table. everyone is having fun even though i just heard the room explode after my cowboys' romo bobbles a routine snap to cost the cowboys the game.

well, at least the cowboys covered, that's good.

pssshhhh, you think i'm taking the +2.5 on the cowboys, that's not how ballas roll. i proceed to tear up my sports book ticket while continuing to play.

well, as i'm winning, foreign guy 2 (fg2)'s luck isn't going so well. he proceeds to go all-in with his last 250 in green on a hand, and he pulls through...everyone is happy.

he dwindles down a little bit before pulling the same move. hmmm, i don't know about testing the waters twice, but do what you will.

he loses the 250 hand, but what do you do after that. he pulls out a $100 bill out of his pocket like a true champ, and bets it on the next hand. after he loses that, what does he do?

MARTINGAAAAAAAALE!!!!

he pulls 200 out and places it. youch, he stays on 18 and still loses.

out comes 400, and it's starting to hurt watching. i'm pretty sure i've pulled a blackjack at some point on his swing, and i hate watching this kind of stuff happen.

anyway, he gets something ridiculous like 19 on his 400, and the dealer pulls some sick 4-card 20 or 21 and takes his money. ouch.

he leaves devistated, and i figure there are enough bad vibes around the table, and i decide to take off with my 80 or so profit. not a bad stop on the way back to my room.

i get back to my room, and am starving b/c i haven't eaten all day. it's probably 8 or so at this point, and i'm thinking about where to go. damnit, i'm so lazy right now.

oh yeah, room service FTW.

i pull out the book, and everything looks awesome. omelettes, ribs, oh wait, there you are.

california burger with potato salad and a pepsi please. i can take a shower while i wait.

as soon as i get out of the shower, about 10 mins, there's a knock on the door(even though they said it'd be 30-40 mins..i'm ok with this).

in it arives...


yeah, that pepsi was $4, but i don't care b/c i'm in balla mode for the night. i tear into the food....which is awesome by the way, and get ready to go out.

part 14

well, i'm ready to go and celebrate my victory w/some drunken debauchery.

i decide to take a cab down to meet my friend, and it costs $6 before tip. i'm such a schmuck for taking the monorail the night before.

i go to the bar there and grab a redbull b/c i'm freaking tired still, but i have to get up for saturday night.

i have about 375 or so on me, b/c i know better than taking a crapload of cash with me when i'm going to do some drinking. i wait for my friend to get ready, and we hang out in the lobby while we wait to meet up with one of his buddies. i want a drink, but i've already learned my lesson from the $8 drinks at the bar. what do we do in this situation kids?

helloooooo penny slots.

i sit down at a slot machine and put in one whole dollar. lucky for me, a cocktail waitress comes by about 30 seconds after i sit down, and i'm in for a crown and coke. i'm literally playing 1 line at 1 cent per line. wow, this is boring. luckily, the low-limit slots are so freaking confusing, only betting 1 cent isn't a big deal b/c you can't even tell what you would have hit had you been betting more lines.

i'm down a cool 30 cents or so by the time i get my drink. i tip and donk off my last 70 cents before we get ready to head out.

so my buddy (MB), his friend (HF), and i head out. we decide to walk the strip for a few just wandering around. i decide i don't really like this idea after we've been outside 30 seconds or so b/c it's freaking cold out. oh well. we go into bellagio and wander around for a minute b/c MF hasn't ever been inside.

after we're there a couple of minutes, a guy hands us a card for 2-for-1 drinks at caramel or some club inside. what the hell...why not check it out? we go there since there isn't a cover and grab a drink. it's not too packed, except for the bar. while they're standing in line, i scurry around to the other side of the bar to try and get in a little faster. i'm still standing in the same spot while they're finishing their drinks.

man, this chick is totally ignoring me for like 5 minutes. that's a long time when you're standing right up at the bar. i ask one of the waitresses if i can order from her, and she shoots me down but reassures me that the bartender will get to me soon.

FINALLY, i get the bar tender to notice me, and i order two vodka tonic, give her my card thing, and what i think is two 5's which i hope will cover it before the tip.

i stand there for a few minutes, and i see her pour what i think are my drinks, but she hands them to the waitresses. another minute goes by, and she hands me five 1's, and a bill for $10, but no drinks.

i stand there dumbfounded for about 45 seconds trying to work this out in my head.

what the hell just happened?

i finally get her attention and i'm like, "ummm, what happened?" she says i gave her 15, which was news to me, and 5 was my change.

"ok, so do i get my drinks?"

ohhhhh. yeah, those drinks sitting there by the waitresses are mine too. then, to top it off, i law down 3 1's to put in my pocket so i can hand her 2, and then this barback guy comes by and quickly sweeps up the money towards the chick. WTF? i guess i'm tipping that amount.

all the while, my friends have already finished their drinks. i just take my two, and we walk directly out of the bar. that place sucks. it immediately kills my mood, but i'm determined to have fun, so we go grab a cab to hard rock.


ok, i seriously did my best to finish this before monday, but it's 1:30, and i gotta crash for work tomorrow...

i'll try and get the rest up tomorrow. i promise that stripclubs will come into play soon.

i call my buddy and tell him we're going out to celebrate, he congratulates me, and i stop to play a little celebratory bj before i can get to my room.

part 15

we get to the hard rock, and this is the first time i've been in the casino. i like the feel. we wander around for a minute until i spot a quarter bj machine. only pays even money for blackjack, but that's ok, bring on the drinks. i drop a couple bucks in, and i'm off.

so my buddy (MB) and his friend (HF) join in the action. HF isn't really in vegas to spend money, so he's all about the $.25 stuff. we order drinks, and i notice that HF has dropped a $20 in the machine.

soooo, what's up with the not spending money business?

anyway, he cashes out his money...i think he's right at 20 even, and he gets his little ticket thing.

after about 30 seconds, he decides he's bored, and he drops another $20 in.

"why didn't you use your ticket?"

"oh [censored], i didn't know i could use it, oh well."

so, another min goes by, and i hear, "WTF, i don't want to bet $20. i thought if i bet max, it's only be like $4."

"too late now," i say. "i guess you'd better win this one."

and we're off. he has 18, and the dealer shows a 9. of course, dealer flips over a face FTW.

i'm laughing at this point b/c he's pretty pissed about it. oh well.

so he puts in his ticket for the other 20. no big deal.

"WTF, i don't want to bet $20 again."

so i'm cracking up at this point. apparently, he hit a button, so it has another $20 bet going. he pushes all the buttons to try and cancel it, but can't. i give the call of death in, "well, i guess you'd better win this one."

"[censored]" and he hits deal.

19...that's good. dealer shows a T, and turns over....

face, FTW.

i'm cracking up at this point. so much for the free drinks. i don't know why this is so funny, but he's really pissed about the whole thing. maybe you had to be there.

anyway, we get our drinks, and i'm still finishing my second one from the [censored] bar at bellagio. MB says, hey, let's go play some real blackjack.

i'm only down like $6, so i'm cool w/that.

we go down and get on a green chip table as the drink girl goes by. HF is telling me to order him a beer, and so i'm seeing if she'll just get us 3 drinks for the 2 of us playing. she's kind of a bitch about it, and i still have 2 1/2's of drinks in my, so i just get him the beer while MB and i play a little bj.

the dealer is pretty cool. i go on a run again as MB looses again. he ends up having to pull more money out of his pocket and puts it on the betting circle. he actually wins, and ends up even. i leave up a hundo...looks like it's going to be a good night.

so we've had a few drinks, and pretended we're going to try and do the whole bar thing, and then it's like a wave of awareness smacks us all in the face simultaneously.

let's go to the strip club.
