Default Re: Are There Non Linear SNG Calling Situations?

If you are heads-up in a SNG, this is the case. Let's say that your hand wins 35% against his random hand. Your hand is +EV (your calling EV is higher than your folding EV) to call when you are short stacked, but slightly -EV to call with even stacks. Once your stack becomes large, this becomes an easy call.

The calling function is a parabolic surface, so it can go from +EV to -EV and back depending on your stack size.
