Default Re: Poker In Macau

MahJong, a topic I've been arguing with some friends for a long time. I have a friend that believes he is a professional mah jong player that thinks that luck is 55% of the game. Even with such a small edge he thinks that he can beat the game just playing with his 30 or so circle of friends and make a decent living. (high stakes)

I always tell him that he should study more about the game and that maybe math or tells can play a part and help him gain a bigger edge. yet he is stubborn and believes that at 55% he is maxing his +EV. How can I tell to study more and be a better player? He is already fairly good but it is just experince. (About 15 years)

Any suggestions to make the next level? Never thought I'd be able to discuss MJ on a poker forum. lol
