25/50nl Play this draw with 300bb's (PART TWO, turn play)

no one has mentioned your current image in any response and it's the most important thing in the hand. given how passive you've been playing he has no reason to set you up for the c/r - i read the results and know he did just that, but it's an anomaly. with the image you described, you need to be betting this turn.

LAP, are you saying that calling the flop is the best line in your opinion AND that he should bet this turn? Or would you have raised the flop, given his image? I honestly cannot see calling the flop and then betting the turn when checked to as being a good line at all and would love someone to explain to me how it is, if people indeed think that. I think it is a good line with a set as a tricky, counterintuitive trap play. I think it is a good line with air to take it away when he's weak and will just c/f the turn (especially if it's a flush turn). But it just seems to completely waste our great draw to play it like that...

i hadn't read the other thread yet (where a lot of people do talk about hek's image) - i just read it, and i'm kind of torn on best flop line. i think i'd have to be in the hand to know what's right.

checking and taking the free card gets you paid off about never, and getting check raised sucks.

if you bet a weak amount.. say $2k, he can only c/r to say $6k? that way you can call or push.. i really hate calling a c/r here and then just giving up UI on the river.. he's prob not stacking off w/ an overpair you can be sure of that.. i would hope not 300bb's deep.

so anyhow, i think i bet somewhat small on the turn, if he calls re-evaluate the river (but i think if he just calls he's super strong like a set), and if he c/r's call and possibly donk AI on the river improved or not?

i think what line he takes on the turn narrows his range quite a bit.. he's gotta have a huge hand to just call us on the turn IMO
