Coming into the league he was compared to McGrady. The kid has a great jump shot and ridiculous athleticism...obviously we don't know about his work ethic yet, but those two things combined usually equal a pretty damn good player.

it's going to come down to weather he develops some smarts on the court. He's got all the athletic tools.

I'm pretty sure I'm jinxing the celts. I live out west, so if I'm lucky I catch the second half.. usually just the 4th quarter. When I come home they're winning, and it all turns to [censored] the minute I turn the tube on.

All,

Kobe highlights from last night.

Amazing that he did this with AK on him, and with most shots being long range shots.

wow.

tuq, suns fans,

After watching the celtics choke another one, I flip to the suns / bucks game. I'm watching casually, not really paying attention to the score. Nash is picking 'em apart, Amare looks good, Leandro is getting to the rim whenever. Then the half is almost over, and I realize it's a tie game. They go into half time with the BUCKS UP BY TWO. How the hell does that happen? It doesn't seem right. It looks like the suns are getting everything they want on offense, yet they're giving up 64 to the bucks. Unreal.

Its kind of a double edged sword. The bucks were more then willing to play the uptempo game with the suns, without realizing that its very very difficult to beat the suns that way. No team plays good defense in transition, hell the suns seem to let the other team score sometimes so they can take it to the other end and trade 2 for 3. The suns can and will play at least solid D in the halfcourt, which is what will matter later on. So in short, if you run with the suns you will always score a ton of points, but will have a slim chance at the win. The blueprint to beat phoenix the last couple years has always been to run on their misses (for easy opportunites only) and slow it down and pound it inside on their makes

[/ QUOTE ] At first I thought, WTF are you crazy. Then I realize, Bell is a good defender, and Amare and Marion aren't shabby, Thomas has some D as well. So I guess they can play that way. I think if Phoenix can slow it down on D, and look for the fast break, or atleast quick transistion points, they could excel, even in the playoffs. Quality of defensive depth does concern me though.

BTW, I want to add these numbers.

Fairly interesting why you look at it this way. Phoenix scores a lot, but it looks like their lack of D basically negates that scoring.
