Is there any laptops out there that support two external monitors. I was looking at the Dell Insprion 9400/E1707. It has a Geforce 7800 video card in it. I read the FAQ on laptop monitors and I am pretty computer savy, but I am having a hard time answering this question. I want to be able to use my laptop to mult-table (4-tables) when I am away from home, but when I am home I want to plug it into a docking station and use two 1600x1200 monitors with it so that I can Mult-table (4-tables) and use the other screen for PT, internet, movies, etc. Anyone know of a laptop that can do this. I want a laptop that I don't need to buy some fancy attachment to work two other monitors. Thanks.

Never heard of a laptop with this built in, but the required attachment is hardly "fancy" - just a PCMCIA or USB video card.

[/ QUOTE ] I've just bought an IBM/Lenovo laptop which can support an external monitor up to 2400x1600 (or thereabouts - can't remember the exact res) in addition to its native 1920x1200. Haven't tried it though I've seen other laptops with dual displays |

Plenty of lappys w/ dual display native support...from 5 yr old gateways, 3 yr old toshibas, to new generics. *ALL* laptops won't support dual monitors out of the box, but almost any non-el-cheapo/above-e-machine-quality thing will. |
