Ignoring and peacocking are not mutually exclusive.

I learned a lesson in peacocking once. I friend was having a wedding reception (his second of three). The tongue-in-cheek invite said gentlemen should wear a tux or a hawaiian shirt. I opted for both. I wore the tux, complete with black tie, and a garrish red-orange hawaiian shirt. A surprising number of women there discovered they really, really needed a ride home. I chose a real nice one. Never wore the outfit again, though, so maybe I didn't really learn all that much.

Washington Post is projecting that the Dems have picked up at least 21 seats in the House. They need only 15 to take control. The Senate is still in doubt.
