ok to those saying poker shouldn't run their life:

it doesn't run mine, i do other things to stay balanced, i am in college, i have friends, etc. however, anytime you are losing it hurts physically. sometimes i play until 3am and i seriously lay awake until 530 staring at the ceiling, there is nothing i can do about it. after a big losing session, there is a pain in my stomach, i don't want to sleep i don't want to eat. i'm playing for 4 figures here, not 5-6 figures a session, and it's still killing me.

either way, i think this is normal, all of my poker playing friends and i talk about it and experience the same thing. they keep me going when i'm running bad because we have similar experiences.

basically, to OP, please take a break when you're on a big downswing, it usually works for me. or, find a HU table with grim on it, instant problem solving to your BR issues,
