[ QUOTE ]
War movies get me. I shed some tears during Saving Private Ryan at the very end when he's an old man visiting the Normandy graveyards. We Were Soldiers gets to me too (the cry of "Fix Bayonets!" just makes me shudder). The only non-war movie that choked me up was Amistad. It got to me several times. [/ QUOTE ] dinopoker - yeah, that part in We Were Soldiers and the part when Mel's wife thinks that the cab at her house is the telegram saying her husband is dead. I bawl like a baby at that part. |

[ QUOTE ] Legends of the fall. Yeah I'm a pussy... [/ QUOTE ] I hadn't seen this movie and thought it was kind of a chick flick. One of my friends had this to say: "Nah dude, it's basically about this guy, right. Who's like the baddest [censored] dude ever. And basically, everything he loves gets crushed right in front of him and everything he touches curls up and dies. It's [censored] awesome." This movie definitely tore me up. [/ QUOTE ] I love this movie. The score is excellent, and some of the screen shots are awesome. |

I bawled like a baby when I saw Legends of the Fall. To make it even more queer, I went to the show by myself during the Superbowl because I refused to watch the 49ers beat the [censored] out of the Chargers in what promised to be the worst SB of all time.

"You died on a Saturday morning. And I had you placed here under our tree. And I had that house of your father's bulldozed to the ground. Momma always said dyin' was a part of life. I sure wish it wasn't. Little Forrest, he's doing just fine. About to start school again soon. I make his breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. I make sure he combs his hair and brushes his teeth every day. Teaching him how to play ping-pong. He's really good. We fish a lot. And every night, we read a book. He's so smart, Jenny. You'd be so proud of him. I am. He, uh, wrote a letter, and he says I can't read it. I'm not supposed to, so I'll just leave it here for you. Jenny, I don't know if Momma was right or if, if it's Lieutenant Dan. I don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze, but I, I think maybe it's both. Maybe both is happening at the same time. I miss you, Jenny. If there's anything you need, I won't be far away."
I got a little sad just looking the quote up on IMDB [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] |

Field of Dreams for me. I can't even watch it anymore because I know I'll be crying at the end. (It came out shortly after my father died).
And this will sound stupid, but an episode of CSI made me cry. For fans, the episode is Gum Drops. A family of 4 was attacked. Three of them were killed. The young daughter was kidnapped. They make it seem like she's going to be found alive. Then when they finally find her, her throat's been slashed. Then you find out that she actually survived (the slash wasn't deep enough). They jerk you around in that episode. The fact that I have a daughter not much younger than the daughter in that episode is what made me cry. |
