A couple more to consider... these are more "memoires" than straight autobios.

Me Talk Pretty One Day - David Sedaris (your category C, but very funny).

If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor - Bruce Campbell. (your category A but interesting insights into his relationship with Sam Raimi and how unglamorous it is to be a B-grade actor).

Graham Greene's first autobio.
Chickenhawk, by a Vietnam chopper pilot. One of the best ending lines I've ever read. Great book.
Ken Uston's first blackjack book.

A Rumor of War, by Phillip Caputo. Also excellent Vietnam memior. Author was a Marine Lt. who allowed his platoon to massacre a village.
