Dom, nice list. I'm sure you are aware that there a number of songs that could have made the top 100 but didn't. But the omission of The Monroes "What Do All the People Know" is most egregious to the point of heresy.

Orange Crush (1988)
Fall On Me (1986)

I think "The One I Love" was their highest charting of the '80s, though. Their biggest hit was "Losing My Religion" in 1991.

no orchestral manouvres in the dark and no new order = a terrible, terrible list.

personally i would go with electricity and age of consent but other choices are defensible.
