UTG is a maniac fish. No stats yet but he has been raising anything and everything, preflop and postflop. BB is a solid TAG - pretty sure he is a 2p2er.
Limit: $5/$10 5 players Converter Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is SB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG raises, 2 folds, Hero 3-bets, BB caps, UTG calls, Hero calls. Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (12SB, 3 players) Hero checks, BB bets, UTG calls, Hero calls. Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (7.5BB, 3 players) Hero checks, BB bets, UTG folds, Hero calls. River: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (9.5BB, 2 players) Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls. Results: Final pot: 11.5BB |

With a bettor and a caller on that board I would fold the flop.

Well in defense of my flop call, I was fairly certain that UTG would put in action with any piece of that flop, so ATM I wasn't too concerned about his call. I don't think he would fold that flop with 42o.

According to the Stove, if you ignore the maniac you get something like:
Board: Qd Jc 5h Dead: equity (%) win (%) tie (%) Hand 1: 23.3392 % 23.34% 00.00% { 7c7d } Hand 2: 76.6608 % 76.66% 00.00% { TT+, AQs+, AQo+ } So since you have to put in 2.5 BB to win 9ish BB (assuming maniac folds the turn and you get a bet from AK on the river) I guess you can call down any board where and A or K doesn't hit. However, since there is a third guy in, if you give him a completely random hand: Board: Qd Jc 5h Dead: equity (%) win (%) tie (%) Hand 1: 16.9517 % 16.94% 00.01% { 7c7d } Hand 2: 64.9946 % 64.72% 00.28% { TT+, AQs+, AQo+ } Hand 3: 18.0537 % 17.77% 00.28% { random } This would make me lean a bit more towards a fold, especially if the maniac will push you off the best hand occasionally. |

I wouldn't call down because AK has 10 outs and you're behind a lot of other hands he could have

I dump on the flop as well. I also wouldn't call the river.

(Of course, I should fold river, but you should probably call since he probably thinks you're a nit that will fold KJ to his river bet.) |

Yeah, one thing I was thinking is that if you think he's solid, he probably isn't betting AK again on the river.
