Default Keeper League LT trade

The way our keeper league works means that if I don't trade LT this year, I lose him. So here is the deal on the table:

I get Shaun Alexander and Lauwrence Maroney for LT.

I get to keep Lawrence Maroney next year as my 3rd keeper because he is a rookie.

How do you guys feel about that?

do you also get to keep SA? how exactly do your keep rules work?

Maroney has TREMENDOUS UPSIDE POTENTIAL! the NE Oline is very good, and they are all signed to medium/long term deals. if they resign TE Graham (likely) you're looking at a great run foundation for years to come, and Maroney looks like the real deal.

You get to keep 2 keepers each year, but no longer than 2 years. And you can keep a rookie keeper for one year. So if I didn't trade, i would have to keep, a second tier running back like deshaun foster and LT goes into the draft.

If I trade, I keep SA, Maroney and a WR. So, I have to trade LT, so the question is trying to get as much as I can.

I was hoping you guys could give me your thoughts on Shaun Alexander for the next couple years? Is he gonna be a top back next year, or should I get something like Gore or Willie Parker and 1st round draft pick?

SA should be better than Parker or Gore, but I'm not sure he'll match last year's production ever again. I also wouldn't trade LT now, not until SA gets better. LT has some good games coming up and SA has... a broken foot.

Interesting spot J_V. I think Alexander and Maroney looks like a good deal especially if he will let you wait another week till SA is healthy.
