I did it with $200, but I played .50-1 LHE, not NLHE. Just 4-table grinded a bankroll up to around $12,000 in month in a half, then started playing $10-20 SH and live games.

12k from 200 seems quite hard in 1.5 months

$150 into 9k in 3 months, avg. 15 hrs a week. i know people who put in 48 hrs a week and just blow up.

Agreed ... but 200 to 12,000 by 4-tabling .5/1 limit?

Even if it was 10 hours of 6-max every single day for 45 days, that's like 7bb/100. Possible? Color me skeptical.

BTW - I turned 600 into 60K in about 6 months with SNGs, PLO, and MTTs. I keep a b/r of 30-50K and take money out each month so I can buy crap and invest.

... but I'm old (over 30) and "wise" and poker isn't my full time job.
