And your best chance to win a tournament is putting all your chips in preflop when you know your opponent has AA?...thats probably the dumbest thing ive ever read. [/ QUOTE ] did you even read the thread or did you just show up three days late to make a post which completely outlines your level of ignorance and inability to comprehend what you read? "DURRR SO WHAT YOUR SAYING IS IF YOUR OPPONENT SHOWS AA AND YOU HAVE KK YOU MUST PUT YOUR LIFE ON THE LINE AND ALL YOUR WORLDLY POSSESSIONS? WOW YOU ARE AN IDIOT" The retards who can't [censored] read or comprehend what's going on here are starting to piss me off. |

[/ QUOTE ] nath, shouldn't we factor in our expectation vs. the field, dictating that in Azaria's instance this is an automatic call because he has a negative expecation vs the field? To simplify, let's assume heads-up play and we're a very good player facing a poor player where the good player has a 60% likelihood of winning each hand. Why in a +ev situation with qq vs ak would we call knowing that every other hand we have far superior expectation of winning? |

In this instance he was getting around 4.9:1, so it wasn't close.

This thread is great! The trolling, the comedy, the know-it-all jackasses... and then the pwnage.
If anyone would like to post the chipstacks of all remaining players at the time as a comma-separated vector, and the payouts in that same format, I can run the ICM on it. Not like that would convince anyone. The result would still be, no, you can't lay down KK getting almost 5:1 ever. I'd just get even more crap responses about how you have to forget about all your fancy-pants analysis and play the game the correct way, where you lay down the red aces getting 10:1 because you know your opponent has the other two aces, and spades have been hitting on the flop all night. |
