I know Neteller requires you to have a phone number that matches in area code to approximately the location where you say you reside. I had a NY cell phone when I moved to Boston and they rejected me for that reason. So somehow I doubt this would work between states, unless you all could get a temporary cell phone from Delaware or VA or something.
And, I am also using Firepay and need to figure this all out soon |

[ QUOTE ] but couldn't you just open out of state mail box and an ING savings account. Then fund Neteller. [/ QUOTE ] This is exactly what I am asking. Has anyone done this or can anyone confirm this works or doesn't work? [/ QUOTE ] I do not think you can just open a bank account in another state...I think you need an address and a phone number in that state...You also may run into a problem at some point in time when your poker site address does not match your netteller info... |

Independant of the Neteller angle, it is most certainly possible and legal to have a bank account in a another state.

get vonage where you can pick your own area code....also i live in ohio and have bank accounts in pittsburgh and new york... lived there at the time i opened them but i still have them and they send me statements every month to ohio so i don't think banks care about living in a different state

I got this answer before so I left my Neteller account dormant. I actually forgot about it and called the other day to see if they could activate my account so I could move money between sites. When the guy asked for my phone number I gave him my cell phone as that's all I have. He said "Is this a California number?" I said "no it's my mobile from new york" and he continued. So either he was being nice and overriding the rules, possible due to the recent legislation, or they changed their policy. Either way it's worth a shot. |
