Default Re: 10NL -- VERY confused with AK here

I'm not sure what the purpose of your flop raise was, even though the betting in front of you made no sense. I’d rather keep the pot small and call. If you think it has a good chance of taking it down I guess it’s ok, but with two people somewhat interested in this flop that mostly missed us, I think calling might be preferable.

Since they both called, presumably one of them has something, most likely a flush draw, a 7 or a J. Since you have the Ac, it seems unlikely that he is pushing a pair/flush draw combo on the turn, so you are probably behind to a 7 that doesn't want to see another club, or a made flush. Maybe KJ. He probably doesn't have a boat, otherwise why would he push. You are getting a little less than 2.5:1, your flush outs should be discounted slightly as he will have 2 clubs a fair amount of the time, lets say 8 on average. Your A and K outs against trip 7 or KJ are not great, maybe 2-3 more on average. 10-11 generous outs are not quite good enough to call. If you add about 10% bluffing or some kind of hand that you are somehow ahead of then it is very close between calling and folding. Because the villain is an unknown, I would tend towards giving him credit for a hand this time and folding, but calling probably isn't a massive mistake either.
