Closest you have come to dying

When I was about 9, I was playing w/ some firecrackers with my friends. My buddy had a tiny shed in the backyard where the lawnmower was. We decided to light them inside to see how much louder it would be. I didn't know at the time that gas fumes are flamable. Just as we were about to light the lighter, my buddy's father comes out and stops us. Apparently, he saw what we were about to do and ran out the house to stop us. I'm pretty sure I would be a crispy critter now if we had lit the lighter.
