Is it illegal? My prediction is that trying to spoof an IP address of a foreign country to evade a Federal Internet Gaming law will land you in a pound-me-in-the-keester prison faster than you can say "Not so rough".

[/ QUOTE ] That seems very unlikely. I can't even think of a law that applies, much less anyone interested in prosecuting a mere player for breaking it. |

[/ QUOTE ] I really doubt there's any law that would make that illegal... it wouldn't actually be evading the law. The worst that could happen is that the poker site will terminate your account if they find out. |

Just FYI: Even while you are using a proxy, most poker programs have built in the ability to read your original IP address before it reaches the proxy.

Here is an idea. Find a friend in Canada willing to rent you an address and a DSL line. Set up the a physical computer at his house. Open a bank account there, or have him open one for you. Install Party on that computer. Play from the United States on a program like GotomyPC. Sounds like it might work.

Ive been thinking about it and decided its possible you could set up a VPN connection in Canada/Europe and VPN into that before connecting to the poker sites.
