New Scorsese trailer (Departed: Jack Nicholson, Damon, DiCaprio)

Saw it last night. I thought some of the editing was choppy, but maybe I just didn't like that effect.

I thought the performances were awesome. I'm not an Alec Baldwin fan at all, but he is hilarious. So is Marky Mark.

Just a crazy movie. I've never heard so many gasps in a theatre before, in so many different parts of the movie.

Boxofficeguru predicts an opening of $27M for this -- which means word of mouth could turn it into Scorsese's highest grossing film (along with what is hopefully one of his best; I'm seeing it tonight of course).

Saw it on Saturday and I'm still undecided on whether it's good or great. I think I'm leaning towards good. It was entertaining throughout and the acting was superb but I was looking for more from the end.
