tdarko - don't let adrian peterson's gaudy stats fool you. Just because he has 500 fewer yards, 4 fewer touchdowns, and averages 4 fewer yards a carry doesn't automatically make him better

teamdonkey,
Exactly don't let stats fool you, 200-400 yards rushing with 2-4 td's everytime you play Ohio, Buffalo or Ball State doesn't mean dick. If you actually think Garrett Wolfe is the best running back in the nation then I think you are one of the funnier posters on this site. Oklahoma has played one team with a defense that is on the level of Northern I's schedule and that is Middle Tenn. So when lottery time comes I guess you are picking Wolfe...you must be smarter than everyone else in the country b/c AP is already an NFL type running back and stats have nothing to do with anything. You're a funny guy. |

The guy turns the corner and you hold your breath hoping someone on your team might hold on to him when he runs over them enough to stop him. He's a beast. b |

Tdarko- Troy Smith will probably end up being a 3rd WR/trick play guy in the NFL, does that make the various 6'3" 220 farmboys who will get drafted higher better college QBs?

FlyWf,
I have no idea why you are picking an argument with me, the difference between the two running backs is pretty clear and you will see that for many years. You remember Cobb from the University of North Texas? His numbers were atmospheric and bloated as anyone ever, but they were exactly that bloated. He crushed weaker competition and good for him but his gaudy stats didn't mean he was better than the premiere running backs in the premiere conferences even though their numbers didn't compare. I think he may have made an NFL team or he was the last cut, I stopped following his training camp b/c I got busy but basically he was a good college running back and no more and the others that received the awards in college and went on the be drafted were obviously better. Plus if Bomar doesn't act like a fool AP has a serious chance of having a monster year instead of just another great year and would have been a legit candidate for the Heisman instead of just a top 3 mention for the whole year. |

He only had 285 vs Ohio State though, so those stats are obviously inflated because of their weaker opponents. out of curiosity, whose O-line do you think is better? Oklahoma or N. Illinois? |

It's too bad they don't have VORP for college football.

I'm rooting for him. However, if you're going to make an argument for Wolfe, please do not talk about stats that encompass his GREAT stats against MAC competition. Mention his monster game against Ohio State's 2nd team defense. That will at least show you have an nth of intelligence. Peterson > Wolfe It's not close Do you see why? luckb0x etc |
