What exactly is this statement covering? (i know tons of "statements" are needed, j/w)

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know completely. We rely on our attorney in many ways and for much advice concerning this site as well as the publishing aspects of our company.

The original statement was just suppose to address the Poker Player's Alliance. We have now asked him to include anything else that's appropriate given the current situation.

[/ QUOTE ]

Is this YOUR statement or your ATTORNEYS statement? You act as if its yours but talk as if its his. Shouldnt you be dictating whats in the statement and your attorney ensures that everything is kosher? Somethings seems extremely backwards here...

yeah, it all seems like a load of BS. either way, the statement is useless now so they might as well save the attorney fee and our time.

Also, while you may not like him because his views are different from yours, I don't think members of the Republican leadership are Nazis. Many Republicans died fighting Hitler in WWII and you should think twice about your avatar.

[/ QUOTE ]

Many Stalinist died fighting Hitler too. It doesn't make them any less fascists. Although, comparing any Republican to Hitler is way way way over the top.

I think the avatar is ahameful. This site is built on the idea of vigorous debate without personal insults. The fact of the matter is that Frist has a point of view that is very unpopular here, but in our system of government opposing views are welcome. We just vote against them.

It seems to me that those who call Frist a Nazi because his political opinions are different from theirs are the ones who are much closer to being a real Nazi than Frist is.

Here I disagree. The poster's avatar is fine. The Republicans who died in World War 2 are obviously not the same Republicans who were fined for dealing with Nazis during time of war, cough, cough, Prescott Bush. We are no longer under leadership of General Eisenhower, who warned against the dangers of the military-industrial complex, but under the leadership of his sworn enemies, the draft dodgers and the war profiteers. My view of it anyway.

[/ QUOTE ]

Be that as it may the "OPPONENT = NAZI" argument is so worn out and overused it generally makes you look like a jackass. Even if it has some semblance of justification behind it.

[/ QUOTE ]

No no, I think we all should agree with Drew. Banning the playing of a game on the interweb is clearly just as horrible as the killing of millions of jews.

It's not his opinions, it's the way he got his opinions passed.
