Graduated a year ago from the University of Washington with a BS in Biology.

Music: Rock...current favorite bands: Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.

Movies: Rushmore, Royal Tenenbaums, American Beauty, City of God...many more.

Best poker acomplishment? How long been playing?

I've been playing professionally for a year, over 4 years total.

I've had two live 6 figure cashes (though low six figures), online tournaments have treated me well too.

If I could have any job in the world right now it would be the one I currently have, if you can call it a job. I feel very fortunate. Traveling and playing poker can't be beat.

Quantitative Financial Research / Portfolio Management
Technically still in the PHD econ program at Temple U. But I finished enough class work for my masters (including all of the classes I actually wanted to take), no real desire to write a dissertation right now, maybe in a few months I will change my mind.
Movie: Godfather, Gangs of New York, Van Wilder, Shawshank
Best poker acomplishment: That I am working hard to continue to improve. I am proud of being a winning player, and happy to use the $$ I win for fun stuff (electronics, too big of a diamond for my little fiance, outlandish gifts for my nephews, etc)

Music:Hip-Hop and Country. Really nothing else, which most people find odd, but makes sense to me. Right now I have Notorious BIG Duets, Kanye West, and Allan Jackson in my car.

To rephrase someone (I think adanthar) earlier in this thread - playing poker since 2002, not totally sucking since mid-2005... Started getting serious about it, reading books, lurking here, posting... Best accomplishment - last night, 4th in PP $40K - $2,800.

I'm getting a degree in English from Rice University this December. I was out of school for two years, returned this last fall, but as I mentioned, have delayed my plans again.

Hard to say; I have a wide array of tastes. I like a lotta indie rock (although I hate scenesters) and classic rock / psychedelia type stuff. Movies, it's harder to say. Among the classics, Casablanca, Dr. Strangelove, and the Godfather are 3 of my favorites.
Best poker acomplishment? How long been playing?
Been playing cards since I was born. Been playing poker regularly about 3 years. Seriously a little over a year. Profitably, 5 months or so.
Biggest accomplishments were winning a stars $11r 45k (chopped it for about 10k) in October and an 11r 25k for 8k in December. But my best accomplishment might have been turning a $0 bankroll into close to 15k sinice August. (I cashed for $25 in a $5.50 I entered with Ultimatepoints and it took off from there.)

Been playing for more $/hr than current job for last 11 months, my blog is here http://2outer.blogspot.com Also I got 1st in a 1150 person MTT for $7200 and a 2nd in a 650 person MTT for $4800. Also won the nightly $100 MTT at a local casino 3 nights in a row this month, which was fun.

I live in Burlington Ontario which is 30 minutes west of Toronto. I grew up in Montreal.

I'm 46 and have been married for 21 years. We have 4 kids, 18, 15, 12 and 10 (the 12 year old will be my poker player).

I play full time now, but I was a self employed computer consultant (Enterprise Software installation and support) before that.

I graduated from Concordia University in 1981 with a B.Comm.

Favorite Movies are Shawshank Redemption and Rob Roy. My Ipod has an eclectic miz, including Beatles, Eagles, The Who and Bob Dylan from my era, and Green Day, Jet and Maroon 5 from my kids collection.

I started playing poker online in 2001 and went full time in April 2003. I rarely play live, but have begun trying live tournaments in my quest for a major score. Played my first big buy in event in Atlantis this month and met a number of the other forum regulars there. Best accomplishment has been supporting my family for 3 years and managing to save for a retirement in the Party ring games. My best tournament result was a 60K win in the Party $200K.

Best poker acomplishment? How long been playing?
Been playing since April when I turned 18. I've gone bust once and almost busted two more times. Now I'm secure though. I started playing tournament poker seriously in October and I have two 10r wins on stars, two 3r wins on stars, a final table in the 3r, 10r and 5r without a win and I just took 12th in the 4076(?) field last sunday in the stars 500k.

2008 will be a fun year.

Been playing since I was 18, so 4 years +. I've FT'd the 11r on Stars 6 times.(never won, 3 times when it was the 25K) FT'd the 30+3 on Party 4 times(never won). FT'd the 40K on Party twice(never won). Your probably noticing a pattern.
