Standard Yahoo league, 12 teams.
Straight up: I get A. Johnson, Hou - WR, and give up Randy Moss. Seems like a no-brainer to accept...wondering if anyone out there can justify hanging on to Moss. He isn't gonna get traded any time soon, right? ScottieK |

I seem to get a lot of stupid offers in my league but this one turned out to be a chin-stroker. Or maybe because it's a reasonable offer amidst all the crap proposals I see flung around.
His: QB: McNabb, Pennington RB: Larry Johnson, DeShaun Foster, Tatum Bell, M. Barber, R. Droughns WR: Darrell Jackson, A. Boldin, C. Johnson, Jerricho Cotcherry, M. Muhammad My team: QB: Leftwich, Roethlisberger RB: F. Gore, R. Brown, C. Taylor, DeAngelo Williams, Brandon Jacobs (to-be-WW'd) WR: T. Holt, Steve Smith, Lee Evans, Reggie Williams His: DeShaun Foster, Jerricho Cotchery My : C. Taylor, Reggie Williams Edit: This is who I play next week. I smell a rat... |

ScottieK [/ QUOTE ] If you don't believe in Moss, I can't see you getting a much better WR than Andre Johnson, who's putting up pretty good numbers right now and will probably catch a lot of garbage-time passes this season. I approve. [ QUOTE ] Palmer is my qb, i also have brady, i guy in my league wants brady. i had alexander, now i need a rb since d. davis got hurt early and f. taylor is now my main back. [/ QUOTE ] I look for Dunn or Gore here; given Brady's depleted WR core you might not command someone like Frank Gore - not that you shouldn't try. Don't forget that Maurice Morris is on pretty much every WW in all of fantasy football right now, either. |

Also in another league... I'm being offered Boldin for T.O. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I'm not hurting too bad at reciever without T.O. and reports are saying he may not miss much more than a week after the bye. The upside with T.O. is riskier than a constant performer like Boldin, but I think I'm gonna go the risky route. Some I've talked to agree with me, and others are in line with you Xorb. I'm gonna gamble, I think. [/ QUOTE ] My words from last week... BUSTO!!!! |

[/ QUOTE ] Is it a sign that I need help when, after the TO suicide attempt news, my first thought was "damn, wonder who's got him in my FF league?" Also wondering what the FF pundits will have to say about it. Also, I gave up Randy Moss for Andre Johnson. I just don't see Moss being productive at all with the protection and QB problems Oakland's having. Oh well. ScottieK |

another trade: ive just been offered chambers and michael pittman for dillon and maroney. currently im stockpiled at rb with larry johnson, westbrook, f taylor and jones-drew.
if i take this trade my team will be. rb: lj, westbrook wr: glenn, djax, chambers reserves: fred taylor, jones-drew,pittman dmason, cotchery, bruce or i could likely make the same deal except with driver. heres a hint on how i look at close decisions and i think its a good recommendation. look at playoff matchups for your league. chambers: @buff, nyj, @ind driver: det, minn, @chic im leaning towards chambers as hes turned it on late last few years and hopefully he develops a repertore with culcrapper by then. gb could fall apart at any time. |

I have just been open-offered a trade in my 12-team, H2H, standard CBS SportsLine scoring league, start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DST. I'm not too crazy about it but was wondering what I should counter with.
I get: Cadillac Williams, Donte' Stallworth I give: Deuce McAllister, Marvin Harrison My team Mark Brunell Carson Palmer Ron Dayne Deuce McAllister LaDainian Tomlinson Travis Henry Donald Driver Bobby Engram Isaac Bruce Marvin Harrison Jason Witten Nate Kaeding DST Seahawks DST Broncos His team Jake Plummer Trent Green David Carr Frank Gore Cadillac Williams Willie Parker Chester Taylor Amani Toomer Andre Johnson Donte' Stallworth Ben Troupe Todd Heap Rian Lindell DST Patriots Biggest reason I don't care for this trade is because of Cadillac. He is too inconsistent and unreliable for my tastes. I would consider doing either Chester Taylor or Frank Gore and Stallworth for McAllister and Harrison, but I'd obviously rather lose Driver than Harrison. Or is getting Stallworth too much of a drop-off between Harrison/Driver? Basically, what would be a fair counter that would benefit my team (I'm looking to trade to take care of bye-week issues mostly [Harrison/Driver byes Week 6, McAllister/Henry byes week 7]) that this owner would go for? |

OK, I rejected the offer a short time after my last post saying I had no interest in Cadillac, but might be interested in Chester Taylor or Frank Gore. He then offered me this:
I get: Frank Gore and Donte' Stallworth I give: Deuce McAllister and Marvin Harrison Thoughts? (This is by far the best offer I've seen all year, but I'm still not sure) Also, McAllister has the same bye week as Gore so that doesn't solve my minor RB bye week issue. The biggest concern for me is Stallworth's hamstring. Trading for injured players in general is not a good idea, plus Gore's a bit banged up as well and potentially might lose goal-line carries. Does the risk outweigh the reward? |
