Default final table, AQos from button

Final table of a 3-table tournament

The buy-in was 40. Top 6 get paid, but the money ramps up dramatically for the top 3.

To this point, the final table has been pretty tight, with very few showdowns, and most raises getting respect.

Blinds are 400-800, with an ante of 50.

I'm sitting with about 7500TC, and get dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on the button.

UTG+1 (6500) raises to 2000. Table folds around to me. Both blinds easily have UTG+1 and I covered. From what I've seen before, he's a fairly loose player preflop, but well-discipline post-flop.

Curious to see what the forum's move would be?

I push, yet it sounds like one of the blinds woke up with an AK or better.

So it's that simple, huh--2 responses, 2 all-ins?

I figured the same thing, and pushed. As it happened, the blinds folded, UTG+1 called and flipped AKos. I caught a Q on the flop, but he caught a straight on the river.

The reason I posted was because of how the cards fell. Speaking purely out of hindsight, had I just called, I could have easily knocked him off AKos hand on the flop.

Still, at this stage of the game, I much prefer coming in for a raise rather than calling, and would push most of the time in this situation.

I was just curious to see if there was anyone here who would flat call the raise.

RESULTS ORIENTED THINKING!!!If you flat call the raise here and a queen DOESN'T hit. He bets and you are going to fold and lose almost a third of your stack. You did the right play and lost nothing else needs to be analyzed.
