Default Whoa..., \"We, along with numerous other MAJOR news publications\" ?

Jay,

This is now sounding pretty self-agrandizing and lacks credibility. Like your "dozens of people physically working the Hill claim from the other day.

HOWEVER .... what was that about "so we dont show the nation that we have a 2" penis ..."

That was a little more disclosure than we really needed....

Since you brought it up tho, is that an average or cuumulative statistic for your organization ? Do you allow women to join and are they included in any averaging done ?

aw, c'mon, no need to make it personal -- I certainly tried to stay away from doing that. I think we should realize that Jay adds to our discussion in a positive way. I just happen to believe he'd add even more if he used a little more restraint in his posts, that's all!

well...it looks like I've given you guys a lot to joke about for today. I'll log off now and try to forget this experience. For the record...Michael and the gang at PPA have been and continue to be a great team to work with in this fight. We are grateful to them for all the support they've given us. And we're grateful to the tens of thousands of you who have joined our fight. We will press on for you and hope to make your proud of our efforts.

Good day gents.

Jay, you need a tougher skin. I guarantee Frist and the others you (and all of us) are fighting wouldnt turn and run because someone challenged them on a statement they made. I agree, however, with what you said about Mr Bolcerek. I had him on my poker radio show and he was an excellent guest.

But if you are going to leave, whatever. I can do without the guessing and the penis jokes.

Tuco.

I agree with this. LAST week we went on a huge rollercoaster ride and Nrog's postings wer one of the main reasons. Mon - oops Frist is trying to sneak the bill thru. Wed - It's okay Nrog confirms it won't happen. Fri - Oops, Nrog calls for urgent action 'cause they were wrong. Mon - Well, no, Nrog says, "we were right after all". So what will happen tomorrow? I certainly appreciate the updates, and the information that Nrog is providing seems credible, but perhaps they could take a lesson from Alan Greenspan and let us know what is going on without using absolutes like "we confirmed it won't happen".

Milton...

Its frustration, my friend. We have dumped a lot of our personal money into this, we dont get paychecks and we're trying to let you guys finally hear whats going on in real-time and we take a beating every time we do. This and one otehr forum take a lot of life out of me. Not sure why I'm the guy doing it...I dont take bs well. Take the information and do with it what you wish. We have a very great team working to protect your rights and regardless of what we read here...we'll continue to do so. It would be a much easier battle with your support.

Default Stop self hype and ridiculous \"OFFICIAL\" claims regurgitating press

Simply stop the hype and premature exclamatory phrases, all of which seem designed to garner publicity solely for your organization and do nothing to advance "The Cause".

Skeptically viewed, it looks like you sit and read press reports and them regurgitate them in an "Offical" prose.

If you have worked the Hill, which a number of posters here have or do, then you know damn well there is nothing "Official" about your reporting or your unnamed source, nor are you a "MAJOR new publication", as yet.

Stop with the antagonism. You are lending nothing to the thread. You don't have to listen to the NROG updates if you don't want to. Others here want to here from them. Stop acting like an ass.

While false hope is a bad thing being uninformed is worse. Surely the guys at NROG have something major at stake in this fight. Perhaps they are big poker affiliates, perhaps they are shareholders in poker rooms, perhaps they're just major online players. But it strikes me as both ironic and unfortunate that folks here simultaneously rip the 2+2 owners for inaction and rip NROG for their efforts.

No one is saying the fight is over or that we should be complacent. And as long as everyone keeps that in mind then even in the very unlikely scenario that NROG is a troll it won't make a bit of difference.

I for one thank NROG for their efforts and for their posts and hope that both will continue. The last thing we need to do is to discourage and demotivate those on the front lines of this fight.

Just my $0.02.
