[ QUOTE ] Hey, you Englishmen have always been nice guys, and you come off at your best in Braveheart. I suggest seeing The Patriot right after, and then Gandhi. [/ QUOTE ] Whatever happened to Gandhi? He made one great film, and then nothing... [/ QUOTE ] omg, you haven't seen Kinglsey in the House of Sand and Fog, for shame. Ben Kingsley is a great actor and Ghandi wasn't a one hit wonder with him as far as braveheart goes, I do agree with DB about the anti-english propaganda about it. Edward I wasn't nearly as bad as was claimed, and to even hint that Edward the Black prince wasn't from teh plantagenet line is almost sacraligious( I was a history major, and english history along with second imperial european history(1870-1918) was my focus. what can I say, I'm an anglo-phile ) |
