Do the beer first, down em as fast as possible like your taking it from a beer bong or something. After that you should have like a minute and a half to do 3 glasses of water which is like cheeeeese~

I was telling bruiser 'ITS TOO EASY ITS TOO EASY'.

any good stories/notable hands? I have such a man-crush on Chau Giang

[/ QUOTE ]

This was a from this year's WSOP. Not the most exciting hand, but it was fun to play against Chau.

Level 3: Blinds 100-200.
I open raise to 600 with 7d 8d and Chau calls on the button, both blinds fold. Flop is 4d 5d 6c . I lead for 1,200 and Chau calls quickly. Turn is 9c and I lead for 2,200 and Chau calls. River is Tc . Pot is 8,000 and Chau has about 5,000 behind. I push and Chau curses and mumbles under his breath. He thinks for about 2 minutes and folds. I think a push here is better than a bet of like 3,000 as I think both get called with roughly the same frequency. Plus, the all-in bet may look like I missed my diamond flush and am bluffing.

My finest poker moment was probably finishing 3rd in Party Super very early on in my poker career for like $18k, that and finally being able to beat the 4-8 game in Tunica when I very first learned to play poker.

Whoa....one of the absurd responses in that thread is from me. I totally don't remember that. For the record, my "set sail for d*ck" comments were a reference to this comic and not meant as anything mean-spirited. Glad I could clear that up more than two years later. lol. lol. I am so proud... *tear*

I don't have any good poker moments that involve winning a lot of money so I will go with this:

Summer of 2003 and I was in Atlantic City for a bachelor party and decided to play hold'em in a casino for the first time. So I bailed on the drinking early and found my way to a 2/4 table at the Taj Mahal. I had just read Lee Jones book and watched some Varkonyi dude win a bunch of money on TV and figured it couldn't be that hard.

About the 4th hand I was dealt 55 and end up turning quads to bust up someone's top set. The dude was so mad after the hand he threw his cards directly in my face! I had no idea how to react and actually thought this might be commonplace! The table was dead silent. I guess they expected me to say something or curse or get up and leave.... but I just sat there and stacked my chips. The dealer finally said something and the guy apologized. We all had a good laugh and I was totally hooked. I think I wasted all of my suckout power in that one night though...

Another great moment of mine that involves me winning money as opposed to having the balls to bluff off my last dollars is this:

Last summer I had a 30K roll and went to Atlantic City for July 4th weekend with 20 grand in my pocket. I was originally going to stay through July 4th, which was a Monday.

I decided to take a shot at the 10-25 NL game for 5K when all of a sudden, the biggest fish ever sits down: a smart former internet company CEO who was so rich he just didn't care. He literally called every hand except for one preflop for 6 straight hours: when he finally open folded the whole table was in shock.

A typical hand went like this: UTG raises to 100, I make it 400, he cold-calls with J2 on my immediate left. Flop 236, I bet he calls. Turn J I bet, he pushes, I call and win.

Back then this game had a 5K capped buy-in but he had hit trips so we both had big stacks. At one point I realized he just doesn't fold preflop so when it was folded to me in the SB and I looked down at AA, I made it 800 straight in a 10-25 game. He called. I bet 1K on the rag flop, he called. I bet 2K on the turn, he called. I bet 3K on the river, he folded.

Anyway, he leaves and the game breaks so I tally up my winnings and I had made 23K. HUGE score for me at the time, I almost doubled my roll. This was monday morning and I was so exhausted and didn't feel like playing throughout the rest of the day figuring what more could I ask for from this trip?

So I booked a $500 stretch limo to Washington D.C. where I was staying with my brother. I got in around 11 a.m. on Monday and my brother opens the door to see me, which he wasn't expecting. I'm exhausted, I look broken down, and I was home early. He just looks at me, aware of my past busto experience, and says "Don't tell me you lost all your money!"

I mutter, "No, I made 23K and took a limo home" and point to the limo pulling a U-turn on his block. He can't stop cracking up at the ballerness of my indulgent ride home.

As I'm going to bed, I take my phone out to charge it and find an orange 1K chip. I go "huh, I guess I won 24K. sweet."

My brother looks at me with insane jealousy and just shakes his head.

Two of my finest moments happened in australia in 2005 when i qualified for the aussie million on pp. prior to the tournament i was playing in a 5/10 cash game two seats away from someone who was going to be wsop champ no sooner than six months later. I am in ep with a6 of clubs and i make a standard raise to 40 (aussie dollars ) and i get two callers with joe hashem being in the bb. The flop comes k64 rainbow. Joe checks to me, i bet 100, third player folds joe calls. I obviously know i am behind here, however the turn brings another six. Joe checks, and i make a huge overbet of all in knowing that he might have a strong king. He thinks a few seconds then calls. The river bricks and when i flip over a6, he starts cussing and shouting and calling me an idiot while micking his ak face up. The great part being not that i stacked him (who cares), but his furor following the hand.

The second great moment happened in the tournament. I had a decent size stack with around 70 players left from the inital 200 (around 35,000 opponent had around 30,000 inital chips 10,000). Opponent in late position raised to 3000 with blinds being 500/1000. I find t9 os in the bb and say i will take a flop against i guy i figured i could run over. To my joy, the flop comes tt2, i check and opponent checks also. The turn brings a harmless six. I check again, this time opponent bets out 4000. Once again i chose to use the overbet technique and i instantly reraised all in hoping that he will call with possibly an overpair or mid underpair (as you all know many people check that flop with overpairs to control pots) and the instant reraise i was hoping would smell of "BLUFF". To my demise, the guy instacalls and shows at. I was counting my chips when BAM a nine rivers. The guy gets up from his seat picks up his water bottle and smashes it on the floor. HAHAHA (dont really blame him)

Anyhow australia as a whole was a great experience, amazing place, and me and the group of guys that i became friendly with down there all ended up in the money so the night after the tourney we had a blast.

When I was basically playing with lunch money, and I really had no clue what I was doing, I came 2nd in a 20 dollar tournament on party, and won 3400 dollars. My previous roll was about 100 dollars-- mainly from saving up a few dollars a day from lunch money from my parents in high school.

With 11 players left I got all in with TT vs QQ preflop and the flop was monotone, giving the QQ a flush draw and me one out. The turn blanked, and the river was a ten. I nearly [censored] my chair.

From there I was a nit and hit just a few hands, but mainly rode that pot to 2nd. This was just over 2 years ago, and to this day I wonder if I would have kept playing poker if I had not won that TT vs QQ pot. I'm sure there is a reasonable chance if I had lost, I would have gone busto and never played again. I have been going off that 3400 score ever since, and I had no money to my name before then. Every now and then I think about that hand, and wonder how my life would be different if I lost. God bless dikshit. I think.
