I'd push pre. But that's just because I'm not good enough to play 99 postflop.
And it's plus 10%+ to your stack. |

Yeah I was wondering if I should say screw the 10xBB rule and just push with 13xBB, so that I don't have to try to play a tricky flop since my post-flop play isn't the greatest.

I push preflop. I hate hard decision with 88-TT.
As it stands, you're in a really terrible spot. I check again rather than push the turn. You're either way ahead of a lower pair or way behind any sort of high two pair/set. If you give him a free river and he rivers a flush, oh well. Blech. I hate 99. |

I check again rather than push the turn.
---- Since you are pretty much committed by your small stack to calling any bet on the river, I think it is better to push on the turn. Worst case with a check is an A, K, J, or T comes on the river, and then villian bets. You might feel compelled to fold, since you "know" you are beat. Give him a chance to fold the pot. IMO. |
