Every time I watch the 200/400 game it just looks like they're a bunch of idiots who don't understand the game- Benyamine included.

Look, I can't discredit his vast winnings, but the majority of people in this game are playing REALLY badly. Hansen, Juanda, Harmon, are all really bad, so comparatively Benyamine should be good, even though I strongly believe that most successful 25/50 PLO players would beat him HU.

I know a guy playing the 200/400 game who also plays the 1k/2k o8 and not only do I watch the hands, he also sends me hands he's in, and I've see some of the unreal hands the losing players muck. The board will be paired and 2-flushed and guys will be calling the 3rd bet allin with an unsuited semi-wrap and a pair. The 'big game' on FTP is really sad to not be able to get into when you understand just how bad most of them are.

You ever play 50/100 PLO or higher? The players arent as good as you think. I've watched my friend play Benyamine 200/400 PLO 3 handed and Benyamine continuously hit 4 outers on him and two times put his entire stack in drawing dead with a flush draw on a paired board. The problem is that few people who have million(++) dollar bankrolls to play that big are good at PLO. Generally when you watch that 200/400 PLO game you are watching a big game with a lot of fish.

I have played both games and 100/200+ at fulltilt is so much harder than 25/50 at stars. Think what you want but benyamine is so much better than you can even realize. He is unbeivable good and you can't even realize it until you play with him.

Everyone respects Benyamine but I've seen him put in his whole stack overcalling a bet and raise with AKT7 on A46 boards with 2 spades with him having no spade draw and no straight draw. He ran into a set and a flush draw wrap that hand, and turned the A. On the turn he and Gus got allin, the spade wrap folded, and Gus won with the boat.

I've seen him do this often enough where I just say "my god how can you play this badly." He's put in enough money with 0-10% equity in so many hands I've watched that it's hard for me to sweat his jock. He's better than a lot of players in that game but it's usually a really soft game even with him in it.

Remember, tons of guys last year were killing cash games and tournaments, and now aren't doing so well (look at Negreanu for example). Guys run hot and cold every year so I'm not putting Benyamine on a pedestal quite yet, although he's very successful in most of the games.

As to why no one is backing top 25/50 PLO players to play that big, Im really not sure. People may look at games with Benyamine, Hansen, Matusow, Cunningham, etc. and naturally think those guys are unbeatable, when realistically PLO is one of their serious weak spots in their overall game.
