[/ QUOTE ] Yes. He played the Morgan Freeman character to Cary Elwes' Kevin Costner. He was basically the 2nd co-star. |

All, Both of these are borderline, but a lot of people who know him from Swingers don't realize Jon Favreau was the big fat guy in PCU (is that a well-known movie? maybe not) and Rudy. [/ QUOTE ] Vince Vaughn is the HB is Rudy who yells "Last practice of the season and this guy's playing like it's the SUPERBOWL!" |

[/ QUOTE ] it was his first acting credit according to imdb. this was probably a semi-breakout role that got him more attention on his standup. half-baked, too. |

Jeremy Piven was also the checkout clerk in the drugstore in Singles when Steve was buying the pregnancy test. He talked about mixing Public Enemy and Elvis Costello, then looks at the PT and says "Of course you may be busy." [/ QUOTE ] He was also one of the sailors John Cusack hustled at dice in The Grifters. Actually, he has been in a lot of John Cusack movies, but that's not a huge surprise since they're reportedly pretty good friends. |

I remember seeing Sylvester Stallone in The Prisoner of Second Avenue. He chases Jack Lemon through the park. Jack Lemon mistakes him for a mugger.
She is not very famous, but Mercedes Ruel had a bit part in The Warriors as a women sitting on a bench in Central Park. She has no lines and is only on screen for a few seconds I think. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Harrison Ford in Apocalypse Now. I didn't read the thread so that was probably mentioned, [/ QUOTE ] Yes. Try reading the thread next time. What I was extra surprised about was that he accepted such a geeky small-time role. This was 3-4 years after Star Wars, but maybe SW was more of a cult piece and at the time he was starving for work. I dunno. Suffice it to say, him playing the role of random four-eyed gopher seemed strange to me. [/ QUOTE ] Star Wars was huge in the Box Office ('77 I think) but Apocalype Now(79) apparently took 16 mos. just to shoot. I bet he was part of the project before he even started to get popular from SW. [/ QUOTE ] But, Ford did play a waiter in (I think) Breakfast at Tiffany's and even had a line I believe. I'm not goint to look at IMDB to check it though. |
