[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I have Carson Palmer, LT, and Kevin Jones as my 3 starters, with Culpepper as backup. He wants to give me Edgerrin James and David Givens for Palmer. 1pt/50 yds passing 1pt/20 yds rushing 6pts/passing/rushing TD Thoughts? [/ QUOTE ] rather than take david givens and gain what is likely to be a small measure of depth at WR (you will need to drop someone, right?), i think it would be better to try to give him Palmer and a decent WR (say your second or third starter) in return for Edge and a better WR. [/ QUOTE ] Well here are my WRs: TO, Donte Stallworth, Darrell Jackson, Braylon Edwards, and Marty Booker. Play 3 each week. He has Chad Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Nate Burleson, Matt Jones, and David Givens. I think I will drop Booker and take his deal. If I offer him a receiver, which one do I give up, and which one do I get? I am considering offering TO for Johnson, but Im not sure he will go for that. Stallworth will hopefully have a good year in Philly, and Edwards in Cleveland. Jackson is a good one to have IMO as long as hes healthy. If he wont part with Johnson, his #2 pick in the draft, I think Wayne is about on the same level as Jackson and Stallworth will hopefully be. Then I would still have Edwards and Givens in case they turn out to have great seasons this year, which Im hoping Edwards does. I guess what Im trying to say is that I wont get a better receiver in return for offering him one. Stallworth and Jackson are projected to have as good as seasons as Wayne. Stallworth had a better year last year than Wayne. Jackson had a decent year last year until he was hurt, so if he can stay healthy he could be better than Wayne too. Thanks for your reply. [/ QUOTE ] Givens does sound pretty worthless given your WR corp but that doesn't mean it's necessarily a bad trade. Basically it comes down to who you like better; Carson or Edge. Who you have as your backup QB/RB may factor into that. |

A few days ago I asked if I needed to make a move for a RB. I need to replace Domanick Davis on my roster and since I have both Brady and Palmer at QB, should I trade Brady for Lamont Jordan?

The league I'm commissioner of is a league with my friends who are all basically pretty new to FF. I have two players (one the champ from last year and the other the third place team) trying to make a deal post draft which is allowed. Should I allow this trade... (draft position is noted after each player)
Defending champ gives 3rd place team Boldin(4th rd) and McGahee(1st rd)and he recieves T Jones(7th rd) and Burleson(9th rd). Do I have the right to deny this trade even though the guy who seems to be getting the major losing end of the deal is last year's champ and is ok with the deal? |

I've been offered T.O. for Mike Bell.
My league is 8 teams, with 2 RB, 2 WR, and 2 Flex, so it's pretty much a straightup comparison for the Flex spot. Scoring is standard I think. Touchdowns are 4 pts, Receptions .5, Rushing .2 per attempt, and all yards are 20 yards per point. |
