I have not read all of this so I would like to preface with that. Howevere, if no one has mentioned it before there is a pretty good (although fairly small) leaderboard already on sharkscope plus c'mon all of us rregulars know who the good players are already anyway.

I guess my thing is I don't really care much......

unless they are planning on making the prizes that good that it would inspire me to actually try to win somethihng.

Sounds fun to me.

With Sharkscope.com out there, nobody has any anonymity anyway.

You can request anonimity at Sharkscope...

As for a Stars SnG leaderboard - [censored] yeah!
Finally.
I would not care about my nickname being publicly known as the sharkiest either.

I also hope that there'd be incentive to gun for top spots no matter what stakes you play.

sounds like a good idea - i don't care about anonymity (just money). i also agree with curtains - top three getting points is better than top two.

I like the idea. I also agree with Lucky Irishman & curtains - give points to the top 3.

I would opt out for fear of it being misleading. I sometimes let people I back or train play my account and I imagine that the leaderboard is meant to be a contest of individual achievements.

I also imagine that if there is any significant prize offered for this then people with dishonest intent may be tempted to have people play their accounts 24 hours a day. As the well publicized august tlb bet from last eyar showed, having alot on the line brings out the worst in some people. I think they should offer a non monetary award of some kind.

I think this is definately required at Stars and is a great idea. Obviously basing points on top 3 is a must as well, as curtains said.

However, Sheetsworld also raises a good point about multi players on an account, and i can't think of a way around this

As long as the rake isnt raised it doesn't hurt the players. It just makes it less likely you will win this new prize. Also it's possible that these players will be disqualified.

Another note: Stars could do it like half volume based and half results based. I guess I mean they could set it up so you lose points if you do poorly. I'm not sure what the best ratio is though or whether thats even a good idea from a business standpoint.
