Casino Arizona - Labor Day Tournaments

What's the buyin/structure of this tourney? I'm planning on visiting a friend in Scottsdale and might play if it looks good. Couldn't find any info on the CAZ site, or google.

Saturday, September 2nd: $100+20
Sunday, September 3rd: $200+25
Monday, September 4th: $300+30

All 3 have unlimited re-buys for $100 for the first 3 levels.

All 3 tournaments have optional $100 add-ons at the end of 3rd level.

200 max players, guarateed to pay 20 places.

All final table finishers get to play in Champions tournament on Monday night at 8 pm.

I have the sheets with the rest of the information with me here at work if you reply back before I get off.

I just called and it's $152,500. Unreal. For a jackpot as easy to hit as this one is, that sometimes gets hit 3 times a day and hardly ever gets to $20,000, this is incredible. Yet I was there last night and there were still plenty of empty tables. And, worse, I promised to take my mother to Morton's tonight so I can't go play. Demmit!!!!!

I have a piggy bank that I cash in at Ft. McDowell when it's full and use that for Morton's. This time it came to $180.00, which, it turns out, was $70.00 short!!!!! Yikes!

Do you ever wish those players who play two hands an hour and spend the rest of the time somewhere else would go get screwed? I do. Here is an interesting story along those lines.

The jackpot was hit around 12:30 pm today. I was playing an hour later and was told that the winner took his money in cash home in a garbage bag ( apparently cash winnings in garbage bags are immune to IRS audits).

Not sure how true that tale was but my dealer told a better one, that the table was eight handed, but one of the players was away from his seat for 20 minutes (playing slots) when it hit, so the table share was only five ways, close to $8k each. When said player returned and found out he wasn't included, apparently said player was quite upset.

FYI, they announced at 3:30 pm that only 40 seats remain for tomorrows tourney. I signed up so there is max only 39 seats remaining.

Good story. Many players don't know you can only be gone for 10 minutes to qualify for the JP (20 minutes minimum to get 'picked up').

My favorite JP story is from last summer's $500,000 BBJ promotion. It was hit on a 3-6 table. The woman who won the small end ($125,000) was still playing at the table 3 hours later. I guess there wasn't a 4-8 seat available in all that time in case she wanted to play a little higher.

That describes my chances pretty well But hey, even if I rebuy twice I'll lose less than at 5-150...

I'm playin in the tournament on Sunday too. I also, am not much of a tournament player, but for the same amount I buy in for at the 8/16 game I can re-buy once and add-on once and have a chance to win quite a bit if I were to get lucky.

Also, I'm off on Sunday and I spend 25 hours playing in the last 3 days for the jackpot so it will be nice to change it up a little.

Well, 5 rebuys later, I'm done, couldn't win a pot to save my life...
First table was super tight, no action, next table I got moved to, this guy was doing his best Daniel N impression, all in blind 8 out of ten hands...
The really silly thing is how play didnt really slow down after the re-buy period, because everyone had huge stacks....
I think they said the prize pool was 58k...
Tommorrow is a little different 225 buy in, $100 re-buys (I thought it was a typo so I decided to play today-DOH!!)
