I'd say $15K
EDIT: Whoops, this was for vegetarian...Vegan would have to be more. Don't care to speculate though. |

Man, do I ever love a good steak. That said, I would consider going vegetarian for about 10k. Vegan, sheesh. That takes such an incredible amount of work. It would have to be about 50k.

[ QUOTE ] Some of the numbers in this thread are really way to high. How wouldn't you do this for 100k? You could take an entire year off and go around the world with a good income, the only catch is you have to be a vegan. Sounds like a sweet gig to me. [/ QUOTE ] wtf [/ QUOTE ] What I was getting at is that for that much money being a vegan would basicly be your job, and I know if I had to make a choice between being a vegan and working 40+ hours a week I'd instantly chose vegan and it's not even close. |

i'm not sure what my number is, but i think i'd turn down 100k without batting an eye. good question, i'll have to think about it. the first thing i would do is budget for a world-class vegan chef and all of the food for an entire year. i don't know how much that would be. [/ QUOTE ] You don't really need to budget for the food as you would be buying food anyway. The vegan way would probably actually wotk out cheaper?? |

I also think if you bother to cook you can make some really nice vegan meals. Like you can have thai green curry, either using quorn in place of chicken/pork or having it just with vegetables such as eggplant and shitaake mushrooms. It is really yummy.

Would you eat grass and leaves and [censored] for even ONE day for a lousy forty bucks, much less a YEAR? I can't believe these low numbers. I have to believe some of you guys haven't thought this out. |

Peanut butter and jelly, pasta, bagels, chips and salsa, are all naturaly vegan. Also there are lots of meat/dairy analogs that do a decent job. Along with silk soymilk which is pretty good. I am vegan, I usualy eat pizza, pasta, lasagna, chinese food, indian food, ethiopian food, vegan cakes, vegan cookies. Many apple pies are naturally vegan. Almost all bread is vegan. I could go on and on. It's not like you are eating grass, lettuce, salad, alld ay. |

yeti,
yes I do, it'd be very interesting for this question to be asked somewhere else and compare the results. I know there's a lot of people on here making loads of money, but I dont think your average ooter is pulling 300k/year at their job/poker. |

I would probably appear in a gay porno before I went vegan for a year.
