uhm, Phil, that's a pretty standard fold of JJ there. Don't pat yourself on the back too much. [/ QUOTE ] But, he lost just T950 with KK vs. AA. The kid is ticked off at how little he got out of Phil. |

Maybe the kid should have played his AA better than that. Calling ~400, check, check, bet $500, what kind of play is that?

Actually, the first two shows covered Days 1B and 1C.
The original plan announced by 411 Productions was to cover Days 1A, 1B, 1C, and 2AB and NOT cover Days 1D and 2CD. That plan was changed when Joe Hachem chose to play on Day 1D. Hachem spent all of Day 1D at the TV table, which was "Table 151" if "my memory serves me correctly". |

So that's how he scored Jen Tilly.
Is that a banana in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?? |

Turn: 8 Check-check. River: 2 Slowplay kid bets 500, Phil calls and rants. [/ QUOTE ] Back to this hand, I don't think the way the Kid played it was as bad as people are saying. First, there's no need to re-raise it PF, as Jensen is the only one left in the hand. If he re-raises, he pretty much defines his hand. Plus, there's no need to overcommit just because you have AA. I think checking the flop was his biggest mistake. Yes, Hellmuth could have flopped a set, considering his starting hand selection, but I think you need to take the initiative with A-A here. If you get raised, then think about letting it go. I don't blame him for the check on the turn now that the board got scary. River was fine. Not a fantastically played hand, but I think, aside from being overly cautious (or slowplaying) on the flop, he got as much as he was going to get out of that hand. |
