Default JJ: I feel lost

No reads on opponents. .5/1 full ring at pokerroom.

UTG limps, everyone folds to me on button, I raise with black JJ. SB folds. BB 3-bets, UTG cold calls, I make it four, they call (BB calls instantly if this is a tell)

Flop comes KK7 rainbow.
BB leads, UTG folds, I call (?)

Turn comes 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], putting 2 diamonds out there.
BB bets again, I fold.

Comments???

I think it's either raise or fold on the flop. If he 3-bets, you can safely fold.

Any idea what this guy will 3-bet with? If he is reasonable you have to raise this flop and see how he reacts. If he 3-bets you you can fold. If he calls down and c/r you on the turn you can fold. But you are ahead to a decent amount of hands here and he might think you are just trying to get headsup with the limper( i.e. almost like a steal situation)

Against standard opposition at microlimits, when 3bet preflop and a K or A fall on the flop - JJ and TT are toast 95% of the time.

I fold the flop.

8 didnt change your hand and you didnt have the odds to draw to 2 outs so the play doesnt make sense.

just raise the flop and everything is easy

I'd raise the flop and go from there.
No way I'm folding though.

I've nothing original to add, other than the fact that this is why I have such a hard time playing without reads. Any play you make could be very right or very wrong depending on your reads of both BB and UTG.

Even though I agree with Kwaz that you're often beat here in these games (doesn't come much more loose passive than the PR micros), I feel you have to raise the flop. If you hadn't capped, your image might survive a fold, but I can't help but think that folding there isn't going to cause people to put you in further difficult positions in future hands.

Raise flop, bet/fold turn, check river behind is how I like it.

I would probably raise the flop here. If he reraises then I would fold. If he just calls, I would probably just check/call him down. He may have a smaller pair than you here or Ax.

Hi Bruin i think this is a terrible fold for a couple of reasons. #1 you raised on the button. #2 there are 8 big bets in the pot when you folded.

Call down or fold the flop. FWIW i would not fold here without a very strong read.
