I can't wait till this gets replayed. I'm gonna have to get a ripper to record it for posterity.

Wish I could get lucky enough to get through that kind of field. I should ask JK to be my mentor.

Is it possible to take any tourney seriously anymore after witnessing that lol? Just sick, that gutshot call I can never understand.

First off although I am Pastor on here, I'm Steamer on PS.

As you've all given me some much needed insight and entertainment, I thought it would be only fair to share some of my thoughts on this tournament. I can't quote all the various posts but I'll try and address some of the points in the thread.

That I played passively for 2 or 3 hours - That's probably about right - I had plenty chips and no need to get involved without a great hand I didn't even call with TT and below or AK, AQ etc. That guaranteed me third place and a huge increase in the equity.

Three handed - if jk had been a 2+2 poster then no problem but all I wanted was to maintain my stack and eliminate one of them (probably Dreamo) I was just being careful not to play one and get looked up by the other- there's a lot more that could be said and I may be wrong, but I would say that jk was either a NL novice or Stu Ungar's ghost - scary in either case.

The gutshot call and hit - that was the only time I felt close to emotion, but even after that I thought I had a good chance and did start to build my stack again.

The reraise with JT and defeat - absolutely dreadful play by me - the only hand of all of them I was disappointed with myself.

Deals - anyone that knows me knows I never chop. This was a great situation for me as I could sound agreeable secure in the knowledge that jk wasn't going to chop so he was the villain.

To those that said complimentary things - thank you.

To those that said our play was rubbish - thank you - I'd rather you were moaning about how bad everyone else is rather than trying to improve. But then maybe you're so good you don't need to?

A bit of background. I have been playing B&M and online for quite a few years and have been on here since whenever it says. I don't play B&M much now because one, I'm really busy and two I am divorced and would rather have my kids to stay than play the big tournaments at weekends.

Any money I win at poker is for buying my kids presents(so yes they were happy) and playing poker with - it's not the rent money.

All the best Steamer aka Pastor
