want to see what ppl think about a certain hand because i think i probably misplayed the hand. Here's the background: Level 3 (50/100) on PokerStars ( ~35 hands played up to that point). I had been involved in 5 hands raising twice ~3x blinds (1 time getting reraised all in and folding and the other time taking the pot preflop).
Other 3 hands of mine that were shown down were: J5 in bb unraised pot, flop 2 pr w/A on board, I bet pot on flop then bet almost pot on turn then 1/3 of pot on river as str8 and flush possible (caller had A9 so I took the pot w/2pr). I limped in middle pos w/TT and flopped top set, called on flop, reraised turn and called big bet on river to take down pot. I limped in middle position w/66, checked flop (A on flop), called small bet on turn and reraised pot on river as bluff w/a pair on board as well as str8 and flush possiblities (opponenet had Ax (3 or 4 i think) to take the pot w/pr of As. Other guy (let's call him Bob) had played 7 hands by that point - AQo reraised all-in pre flop (was up against JJ and spiked the A to take it). KQs reraised all-in pre flop (orig raise was ~40% of his chips) and flopped flush to take it. Called allin bet with QTs and lost, called to river w/JT inside str8 draw and lost, called to river w/22 w/AK on board and lost and called blinds w/52s and K9s then checked to river. So on to the hand in question. I have 2900 chips, Bob has 2200 (blinds 50/100, 8 players left). Folded around to me in the small blind and I raise to make it 400. Bob is in big blind and calls the bet (I had raised 3x blinds on the exact previous hand from the big blind and 1 limper folded - just to give some more context to the hand). Flop comes 2s Th 6s. Pot is 800, I bet 600 and Bob reraises all in. Pot is now 3,150 and it costs me 1,150 to call (I would have ~800 left if i call and lose). Any thoughts about what my opponent had and what he might think my hand is? I'll post the outcome later today. thanks to all who reply to this. I had wanted to see what ppls reads were on my range of hand and my opponents without coloring the discussion with a knowledge of what the cards were but i can understand it being a bit much to go through. If you use a converter, the hand will be much easier to look at and you will get more replies. Honestly, I don't have the energy to sort through this...

Yeah, HH would be nice, as well as including your cards.

It looks a lot better now. I agree, the hand is very standard.

Thank you for converting it. I viewed it the first time but couldn't understand why your hand was missing. Now I get it.
I'm usually a big advocate of giving as strong a read as you can and letting the forum decide what to include when making a decision. So thanks again, and welcome to the forum. This particular hand, however, I would've played the same pretty much regardless of reads. You played it fine. If he beat you, just smile and know that was all you could do. [ QUOTE ] I had wanted to see what ppls reads were on my range of hand and my opponents [/ QUOTE ] At the $11s, the majority of opponents are pretty incapable of thinking about your hand range. He might figure you were raising pf to steal and are now cbetting, he might think you have an overpair, but it's most likely he's not thinking. That's why we make money. His range includes a bunch of hands that beat you and many more that don't. The reason a read was mostly irrelevant is because there's no way you should consider folding an overpair at this level with this stack. Hope that helps. |

Let me guess, Bob had T2 and thought he was Doyle Brunson...

kevkev - thx for the confirm he actually had JKs and won it with the flush. I guess i'm overanalyzing the hand and probably overplaying my hands as well for the crowd in the $10 SNGs. I tried the strategy from the AegoMagus' summary and it's just not working for me because I keep getting drawn out or sucked out or even (twice now) blinded to the point of having little to no fold equity. trying to find a strategy i feel comfortable with and that rewards solid play but has been a little rough - although i know luck probably has alot to do with it.
